The purpose of this online premarital counseling program is to empower couples considering marriage with the knowledge and basic skills for co-creating a secure functioning and resilient relationship together; no matter the obstacles they may face.
In fact, we specialize in supporting couples navigating complex challenges like neurodivergence, illness, loss, and trauma, and practice from an affirming and empowering lens.
We believe great relationships are made not born. They take effort, energy, and intention to co-create together. However, many of us did not get to experience a lot of healthy romantic relationship models growing up.
Therefore, this premarital counseling program uses the best in relationship science to help couples develop a healthy model for a secure functioning relationship so that they can co-create a resilient marriage. This program uses concepts from Family Systems Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, PsychoBiological Approach to Couples Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, and the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy.
“What makes a partner right for you is a shared willingness to create a secure relationship. If you both are willing to go all in together, you are ‘perfect’ for each other.”
– Dr. Stan Tatkin, Founder of the PACT Institute
What does pre-marital counseling look like?
Our pre-marital counseling program is tailored to each unique couple, and begins with interactive assessments to help couples understand each others operating systems better (aka attachment styles, neurotypes, stress response styles, etc). Then we will engage in activities that will help you…
– Get clear on your principles, values, and agreements as a couple
– Learn skills for navigating rupture and repair
– Build a toolbox for effective communication, co-regulation, and authentic connection
This program is provided ONLINE via secure telehealth platform to Texas and Florida residents, and clients must be physically within the states of Texas or Florida during sessions due to licensure laws.
The program that qualifies for the “Twogether in Texas” marriage license discount ($60 savings) and 3-day hold waiver is completed via either 3 mini intensives (10.5 hours total) or traditional weekly or biweekly couples therapy (8-12hours total). If you are not wanting to get the “Twogether in Texas” certificate, then there is more flexibility in designing the structure and length.
Who is the therapist we would work with?

Hi! I’m Vivienne Forte, LMFT-S, and I have over 10 years of experience helping couples build secure functioning and resilient relationships. I am passionate about supporting couples to co-create meaningful marriages.
In addition to being an experienced couples therapist, I have been with my husband for 14 years and we celebrate 10 years married in 2026. You can actually see one of our wedding photos at the top of this page. Therefore, I also know on a personal level the challenges of commitment, along with the requirements for co-creating a meaningful and fulfilling marriage that lasts.
You can learn more about me and my practice of couples therapy here.
What is the investment for this program?
